7-Day Mid-Range Epic Adventure (3 Nights Serengeti)

You will be picked up from the airport by a Lion King representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime! Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travelers pass through at some stage.

After breakfast, your Lion King safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park (about 2.5 hours). Named after the Tarangire River, the park is famous for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and abundant wildlife, including giraffes, bushbucks, lions, leopards, and a vast variety of birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, you’ll head to your accommodation in Karatu.

After breakfast, you’ll head into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to admire the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. From there, you’ll continue into the southern Serengeti. Known for its endless plains and rich wildlife, the Serengeti is especially famous for the Great Migration—millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes moving in search of fresh grazing. The exact location of the migration varies throughout the year. Your next 3 nights will be spent in the Serengeti, with accommodation based on the best migration viewing area for the season.

Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti, home to rich wildlife like buffalos, impalas, hippos, and crocodiles. You’ll have a great chance to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Depending on the Great Migration’s location, you may explore beyond the Central Serengeti to witness this incredible spectacle. your final stop on this unforgettable safari. Though small, the park is incredibly diverse, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Escarpment. The shallow salt lake attracts flamingos and over 500 bird species. You might spot baboons, elephants, and even the famous tree-climbing lions.
